Delta 8 THC, more commonly referred to as 'Delta 8', is a psychoactive cannabinoid occurring naturally in the cannabis plant. Delta 8 acts much like Delta 9 THC, inducing euphoric effects, relaxation, and introspection, but with less potency. It is commonly said to be about 2/3 as potent as Delta 9.

Delta 8 is legal in US states that have adopted the 2018 Farm Bill, which removed hemp from the definition of marijuana. Cannabinoids containing .3% or less of Delta 9 THC, the main psychoactive component in marijuana, are considered hemp. This means the door is open for CBD, CBG, Delta 8 THC, HHC and many other cannabinoids to hit the market.
